McClain, Stacy

Stacey McClean [3] [4] ( born Stacey McClean ; born February 17, 1989) is a British singer . She participated in a subgroup of S Club , S Club 8 . In 2009, she took part in the sixth season of The X Factor [5] .

Career

2001–05: S Club Juniors

McClain was born in Bispham , in Blackpool , in Lancashire . In 2001, she auditioned for the pop group S Club (later S Club 7) during their 2002 Carnival Tour. Nevertheless, at the age of 12, the singer became a member of S Club Juniors [6] . In 2002, the group released four singles and starred in the series Viva S Club .

After the S Club broke up in 2003, 19 Entertainment decided to keep the S Club Juniors going band, renaming it S Club 8. After that, the band recorded three singles. In 2004, McClain, along with other members of S Club 8, appeared in the children's musical television musical comedy I Dream , filmed in Spain. The television series lasted one season in thirteen episodes, from September 22 to December 13, 2004, and was shown on BBC One . In 2005, S Club 8 broke up [7] [8] .

2009: The X Factor

In 2009, McClain participated in The X Factor in Manchester , performing Christina Aguilera 's song " Ain't No Other Man " [9] . Her audition was featured in a 100 episode of the show on September 19, 2009. She made about 50 appearances before reaching the finals. As a result, she managed to get to the 24th place in the final, along with five girls in the age category from 16 to 24 years old. Stacy's mentor was Kylie Minogue 's sister, Danny . During her final performance at Atlantis Resort Complex , The Palm , Palm Jumeirah , Dubai ( UAE ), McClain performed Britney Spears ' Sometimes , but was suspended shortly before her live performance [10] .

2010 — Present: Later Work

In 2010, McClain worked at talkSPORT, a British radio station. She continues her singing career in her free time.

In December of that year, McClain went on a six-month UK tour as a member of the G * Mania dance and vocal group [11] .

At the end of 2012, McClain, along with other former members of S Club Juniors, Daisy Evans, Aharon Renfrey and Jay Asforis on Twitter announced the reunion of the group. The first performance after the reunion took place on January 13, 2013 at Essex Students Union. They also announced the creation of the official S Club Juniors Twitter, @SCJOfficial.

Personal life

She studied at the Unity Academy Blackpool , in Blackpool. She worked as an administration manager for 106.5 Central Radio , where she was responsible for organizing morning radio shows, but left after Niocom acquired the radio station. He currently resides in London. It has a Nigerian origin [6] .
