Infrastructure
The main park of station “A” with the station and most of the station buildings are located on the side of the Apparatny microdistrict in the Kirovsky district . The station building has a waiting room and ticket office. Reception of passenger trains is carried out on the 1st station path closest to the station, along which there is a low passenger platform.
On the opposite side of the park "A" there is an exit to Shefskaya street in the Ordzhonikidze district of the city. There is no bridge across the park “A” path of the station.
The even neck of Park A crosses Bluykhera - Proezdzhaya viaduct (“Blukherovsky Bridge”) connecting the Vtuzgorodok and Shartashsky microdistricts and being the main link located near the road junction in the direction of the city of Berezovsky , as well as to the Elmash and Komsomolsky microdistricts.
Park “B” station (former Vostochnaya freight station) is located on the northern cargo bypass of the Yekaterinburg junction about 500 m south-west of the main park “A” and is connected to it by one electrified and one non-electrified track, leaving the even neck of Park “A” and crossing along railroad overpass Shefskaya street. From the side of Shartash station, behind the even entrance traffic light of Apparatnaya station, the main route of the northern bypass deviates north-west from the Yekaterinburg - Yegorshino line and enters the odd neck of Park B, bypassing the main park A of the station. The single-track electrified stage Shartash - Apparatnaya adjacent to the station is common both for the northern cargo bypass and for the Ekaterinburg - Egorshino line.
Park "B" consists of four paths. In the even direction (from the west), a single-track electrified stage Zvezda - Hardware of the northern freight bypass of Yekaterinburg adjoins it. To cross the paths (closer to the even neck of the park) there is a pedestrian bridge connecting the adjacent areas of Shefskaya street with the northern part of the Pioneer village (in the area of Kamchatskaya and Danila Zvereva streets). The movement of passenger trains through the park "B" is not carried out.
A large number of non-public railway lines adjoin the station. The main connections: to the park "B" - the path of the plant " Uralelectrotyazhmash ", the Ural Turbine Plant and the Machine-Building Plant named after Kalinin ; in the even throat of Park “A” - the paths leading to the Ural Electromechanical Plant and the Betfor concrete factory ; in the odd neck of Park A there are the paths of the Yekaterinburg Electric Locomotive Repair Plant (EERZ) , the Uraltransmash plant , as well as the path leading to the industrial zones of Berezovsky and the Novosverdlovskaya TPP .
The station and adjacent lines are electrified with a direct current of 3 kV. Park "B" (as Vostochnaya station) with adjacent sections of the northern cargo bypass was electrified in 1973 , the main park of station "A" was electrified in 2003 as part of the Apparatnaya - Monetnaya section.
Passenger movement
Suburban trains stop at the station from Yekaterinburg to Yegorshino , Alapaevsk (a total of 5 pairs per day). After electrifying the main fleet of the station in 2003, electric trains from Yekaterinburg to Monetnaya station (2 pairs per day) were canceled for some time, which was canceled in 2006 .
Public Transport Connection
Public transport stops are at a considerable distance from the station station and its main infrastructure. The nearest bus stops are located on Proezdzhaya streets ( buses 5, 10, 148, as well as suburban buses to Berezovsky ) and Shefskaya ( buses 033, 060.148). In addition, about 800 meters from the station, behind the overpass from Blucher Street, there is the Shartash tram ring ( trams 4, 16, 18, 20). In the long term, not far from the station in the area of the traffic intersection near the beginning of ul. Shefsky plans to build a metro station "Chef" .
