Quebec, Sam

Sam Quek ( born Sam Quek , born October 18, 1988 in Liverpool ) is a British field hockey player who plays as a defender. The UK national team is the champion of the 2016 Summer Olympics. At international tournaments, she represents England , and she includes the 2015 European Champion.

Sports career

Since 2008, she has been playing for the national teams of England and Great Britain, speaking for the British national team at number 13. She was not included in the application for the Games in London, but continued to perform for the English national team. She performed at the European Championships 2013 (silver medals) and the Commonwealth Games 2014 for England (also silver medals). At the Trophy of ice hockey champions, she was appointed captain in the absence of Kate Richardson-Walsh , in the first match she received a fracture of two ribs, but she finished the tournament until the end (the doctors only informed her of the diagnosis later). At the European Championships 2015, the England team won, and in the final against the Netherlands, Sam became the best player in the match [1] .

In 2016, Sam was declared at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and held the 50th game for the British national team, bringing the number of matches for England and the UK to 125. As part of the British national team, Sam won the tournament in the finals over the Netherlands in series of shootouts [2] .

Personal life

Sam graduated from Birkenhead school and Caldey Grange grammar school, entered the University of Leeds , where she graduated with a degree in physical education and sport with a bachelor's degree [3] [4] . She has a boyfriend with whom she appeared on the TV show “For What It's Worth” [5] . In June 2016, she starred for the magazine Forever Sports [6] .

Sam supports the Liverpool Football Club, Ian Rush is a friend of her family. Her favorite performer is Beyonce , but before the matches she tries not to listen to her music [7] .
