Biography
Ruth Gamm was born on December 14, 1946 in Egeln, Saxony-Anhalt, GDR. I started to go in for athletics in the junior sports school Gustrow. In 1964 she graduated from the university.
She was married to a middle distance runner Ulrich Fuchs, and then behind her former trainer Karl Gelmann.
After graduating from a career, she received her doctoral degree and vice-president of the East German Athletics Association in 1984-1990. After the reunification of Germany, she became a member of the parliament of the left-wing party “Die Linke” in 1990 and 1992-2002, as well as a member of parliament for Thuringia in 2004. From 2004 to 2009, she was a member of parliament in the Thuringian Landtag for the PDS .
