Biography
She was engaged in swimming in the Youth Sports School No. 3 (Poltava). Her trainer was Irina Astapova [1] .
Moved to Kiev. She began to train under the leadership of Sergei Bondar [1] [2] .
Career
In July 2013, she won three medals at the European Youth Swimming Championships: two gold (50 meters breaststroke and 200 meters breaststroke) and one silver (100 meters breaststroke) [3] [4] [5] .
2013 World Cup
In the preliminary race of 50 meters breaststroke showed the twenty-first time (31.63 seconds) and could not reach the semifinals [6] . In the preliminary race 100 meters breaststroke showed the fifth time (1 minute 6.79 seconds) and reached the semifinals. Set a national record of Ukraine [7] . In the semifinals, she sailed third and showed sixth time in two semifinals (1 minute 6.67 seconds). Set a record for Ukraine [2] . Reached the finals [8] . Change of citizenship
In 2014, Victoria Solntseva accepted Turkish citizenship and changed her name to Victoria Zeynep Gunesh [1] [14] .
2014 World Short Course Championships
She made her debut for Turkey at international competitions. Participated in the following disciplines: 50 meters breaststroke, 100 meters breaststroke, 200 meters breaststroke, relay 4 × 100 meters by the complex [15] [16] [17] [18] . I didn’t take any medals.
World Championship 2015
In the semi-final race of 200 meters the complex sailed fourth, with a result of 2 minutes 11.46 seconds. Set a world record among juniors and a national record of Turkey. Failed to reach the final [19] [20] . In the preliminary swim of the combined relay race of 4 × 100 meters , the Turkish team showed the twenty-first time and could not reach the final. But the Turkish team managed to set a national record - 4 minutes 6.34 seconds [21] . Also participated in the disciplines: 50 meters breaststroke [22] , 100 meters breaststroke [23] and 200 meters breaststroke [24] .
In August 2015, she won four gold medals at the Youth World Swimming Championships: 50 meters breaststroke, 100 meters breaststroke, 200 meters breaststroke, 200 meters complex. At distances of 200 meters, the breaststroke and 200 meters of the complex set world records among juniors [25] [26] [27] [28] .
2015 European Short Course Championships
She won two bronze medals: 100 meters breaststroke and 200 meters breaststroke [29] [30] . Also participated in competitions: 50 meters breaststroke, 100 meters complex, relay 4x50 meters complex.
European Championship 2016
Participated in competitions: 100 meters breaststroke [31] , 200 meters breaststroke [32] and relay race 4 × 100 meters by the complex [33] .
2016 Olympics
In the preliminary race 100 meters breaststroke came fifth, with a result of 1 minute 7.14 seconds [34] . With the fifteenth time, she reached the semifinals [35] . In the semifinals, the eighth sailed, with a result of 1 minute 7.41 seconds [36] . She showed the fourteenth time and could not reach the final [37] . In the preliminary race 200 meters breaststroke came second, with a result of 2 minutes 23.83 seconds [38] . She showed the seventh time and reached the semifinals [39] . Fifth in the semifinals, with a result of 2 minutes 23.49 seconds [40] . She showed the ninth time and could not reach the final [41] . In the preliminary swim of 400 meters, the complex sailed fourth, with a result of 4 minutes 41.79 seconds [42] . She showed the eighteenth time and could not reach the final [43] .
