The first trams on the streets of St. Petersburg released September 29, 1907 Vasileostrovsky tram park . At the time of the greatest prosperity of the tram network (1981–2002) [1] ), ten passenger tram parks and one freight fleet operated in St. Petersburg , but then their number began to decline steadily. Currently, the city has 6 tram parks.
Active parks
Tram Park No. 1 (Moscow; named after Konyashin)
Address: 83, Moskovsky Prospekt . In the reference book “All Petrograd” for 1923 house number 71 is indicated [2] ; the change in numbering is associated with the subsequent development of the odd side of the International Avenue on the section from the Obvodny Canal to the Moscow Gate.
Opened in October 1907 under the name "Moscow Tram Park." Since 1914, the territory adjacent to the park on the north side has been added adjacent to the freight station of Warsaw Station, where parking of freight trams and their maintenance is organized.
In 1922, the name "Moscow" was abolished, instead of it the park was assigned No. 1 and the name of I. I. Konyashin. In 1935, a freight tram fleet, named after E. I. Krasutsky , was separated from the first fleet into an independent unit, however, in 1971 both fleets merged again.
In 1997, freight tram services were stopped in St. Petersburg, and fleet No. 1 became purely passenger. Until 2000, the park had a gate with the Warsaw railway direction.
As of June 2017, it serves 7 routes: No. 16, 25, 29, 43, 45, 49, 62.
On May 29, 2012, a new tram Alstom Citadis 302 came to the park for testing (from May 29 to October 2012, it was not accepted for balance). At the end of October 2012, the tram was transferred to Moscow .
It is planned that the territory of the park will be released [3] . It is possible to move to Shushary (previously it was said about a possible move to Malaya Balkanskaya Street in the area of the terminal station of the same name). [4] This idea is currently not discussed.

It was planned to build a multifunctional complex “Palace of Arts” on the territory of the park, including office buildings, hotels, a congress center, a concert hall and a television factory [5] . The Government of St. Petersburg in June 2011 did not sign an agreement on the construction of the complex [6] . In 2012, the project was abandoned. The site was to be developed by TriGranit . [7]
