Pig - a farm, a single facility for raising and feeding pigs . In pigsties, as a rule, areas with dirt are present. There are three reasons why pigs, mostly pure animals, create these living conditions:
- Pigs are very voracious and eat all the plants in their enclosure, so there is nothing left to hold the soil.
- Pigs are digging animals and they will try to get food in the ground, continuing to break the soil.
- Pigs do not have sweat glands, so they must be provided with water and dirt to regulate their own body temperature.
Large pig breeding facilities are commonly referred to as pig farms. Unlike pigsties, which can often be found on mixed farms, pig farms are specialized enterprises.
Family pig farms
Private pig farms are small structures in the pig system and are significantly different from modern American pig farms. In modern US pig farms , on average, from 2,000 animals are grown, and on large pig farms up to 10 thousand. At private farms, pigs began to be bred from the beginning of the 1900s, although pig breeding at that time had not yet begun to develop.
