Biography

Born December 22, 1947 in the Nigerian city of Jos .

He played for the Nigerian Ranchers Business Club. Then he played for a team from his hometown, Maiguet Jets . Together with whom she twice became the finalist of the Nigeria Cup [1] .

As part of the national team of Nigeria, he made his debut on August 30, 1965 in a match against Gabon (4: 1) [1] .

In 1968, Nigeria's head coach Jozsef Amber challenged Samuel to the Mexico Summer Olympics . In the team, he got 4 number [2] . Nigeria took the last fourth place in its group, losing to Brazil , Japan and Spain . Samuel Okoe at the tournament played two games and scored a goal against Japan [3] .

He played his last match for the national team on April 18, 1971 against Senegal (1: 2). In total, he spent 17 matches for the national team and scored 5 goals [1] .

After the career of a football player, he switched to coaching [1] . He took coaching courses in Germany. Samuel Okoye died on July 31, 1978 in a car accident in Nasarawa [4] .
