History

Ground

On August 13, 2014, former Team Immunity players - Branden “ Swip3rR ” Holland, Samuel “ Spookz ” Brodley , Simon “ Swiffer ” Papamarcos, Derik “ Reydeye ” Tran, Andrew “Rosey” Rose, and managers Frank “ Sangy ” Lee and Aimee “ Sigils ” Lau formed a new team with the provisional name “Exedas Gaming” [8] . On August 29, 2014, ex-Team Immunity was renamed The Chiefs eSports Club [9] [10] .

Fifth Season

On February 5, 2015, Chiefs began performing in the first split of the OPL . After the third week of the regular season of the Oceania regional league, they were in fourth place after the “Dire Wolves” in the top three teams ahead of the “ Lergacy ” team with four victories without a single defeat [11] . The regular season “Chiefs” finished in first place with thirteen wins and the only defeat [12] that they received in the sixth week of the regular season [13] from the team “Team4not OCE” [14] .

On April 2, 2015, the Chiefs played in the semifinals of the first OPL split against the Tim Community team [15] . A series of matches to three victories ended with the score 3-0 in favor of the “chefs” [16] . The Chefs reached the final, where they defeated Daye Wolfs with the same score [17] . The status of the first champs of the OPL allowed the “chefs” to represent Oceania at the IWCI 2015 [18] . Mid-liner “Chefs” - Simon “ Swiffer ” Papamarcos was recognized as the most valuable player in the split [19] [20] .

IWCI 2015 was held in Turkey from April 21 to 25, 2015 [21] . The Chiefs eSports Club eSports Club took fifth place on it [22] .

On May 1, 2015, Endru Rosey support player Rose [23] left the team; on May 5, 2015 he was replaced by Bryce Egym Paul [24] to replace Legacy Esports.

On May 25, 2015, the second OPL 2015 split began, in which the esports club Chefs defended their championship title [5] . According to the results of the regular season, the “chefs” went to the playoffs from the first place, having 14 wins and zero losses [25] [26] . Having won the semifinal series with a score of 3-0 against Avangard, who began to oppose them with something only to the third set of the series, the Chiefs went to Sydney Luna Park for the grand final against Legacy and Spots [27] [ 28] . On June 19, 2015, Josh “ Jish ” Kar-Hammerston joined the team to replace the retired head coach of Barento “ Rezplazm ” Muhammad [29] .

On August 8, 2015, the grand final of the second split of OPL 2015 took place. The Chiefs confidently took the first two sets, losing the third one by increasing the pressure of Legacy . The victorious fourth game of the series for the “chefs” was held in the “aggressively classic” style for them - the series ended with the score 3-1 [28] [30] . Chiefs eSports Club got the right to represent Oceania in IWC Turkey , where he took second place and missed the World Cup , losing in the final to the Bangkok Titans team from Thailand with a score of 2: 3 [30] [31] .

Sixth season

On October 12, 2015, Andrew “ Rosie ” Rose returned to the team as a backup support player [32] . On December 16, 2015, team manager Aimee Sigils Lau left the team [33] . On January 9, 2016, Brown, “ Cheese (lQdChEeS)” Daniel joins the Chiefs as a mid-liner to temporarily replace “Swifer”, the team captain who will be abroad until the middle of the spring split [34] .

The team spent the spring split of the sixth season in the Pro League [35] , according to the results of the regular season of which the “Chiefs” for the first time in history came in second place after the “ Legacy ”. Thanks to the victory in the semifinals over Sin Gaming, the “chefs” reached the final, where they beat Legacy with a score of 3: 2 [5] [36] , passing to the qualifying stage at the Mid-Season Invitational 2016 [1] , where “Chiefs »Took only sixth place in the group stage with three victories and four defeats [37] .

In May 2016 , after another unsuccessful performance at a wildcard tournament, the esports club Chiefs began their performance in the second split of the Ocean Professional League for League of Legends [38] saying goodbye to Brown Daniel Chees , who transferred to Nuovo Gaming [39] . The “chefs” finished the regular season in third place in the standings - “Die Wolfs”, their future opponents in the semifinal series, are a line above them. Legacy rivals Chiefs in the grand finals of the last two splits in a row seized the leadership of the regular split.

On July 31, 2016, Derek Raider, the shooter of the team , announced the move to Daye Wolves, from the same team he was replaced by Queen “ Raise ” Corbrits [40] [41] , and on August 3, “Raider” announced the completion careers [42] .
