Paul Michael Glaser ( eng. Paul Michael Glaser ; born , ) is an American film and television actor, film director and film producer. The best known to the audience is the performance of the role of detective David Starsky in the television series Starsky and Hutch (1975-1979).

Biography
Paul Manfred Glazer (later changed his middle name to Michael ) was born on March 25, 1943 in the city of Cambridge ( Massachusetts , USA ) into a Jewish family. Father - Samuel Glazer, architect, mother - Dorothy, two older brothers. Paul attended Buckingham Browne & Nichols High School, then High School at The Cambridge School of Weston , and received his higher education at Tulane University ( Master ’s degree in English and Theater, 1966). In 1967, he received another master's degree (“Acting and Directing”) at the . Brotherhood member .
In 1967, he played the role of a guard in Hamlet staged by [4] , and in 1969-1972 on the Broadway staged by Butterflies Free .
For the first time on television, Paul appeared in 1967 in the TV series , and in 1971 the actor’s debut on a wide screen was made in the movie “Fiddler on the Roof” . Since 1977, Paul Glazer is also engaged in directing, since 1991 - producing, besides, in 1979 and 1996 he appeared twice as a screenwriter.
Chairperson of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation , founded by , from 1994 to 2002, hereinafter referred to as the “Honorary Chairman”.
In addition to works in the theater and cinema, Paul is also engaged in photography, writes poetry and children's novels.
Personal Life
For the first time, a 37-year-old Paul Glaser married on August 24, 1980, an HIV activist and children's lawyer, (1947–1994). Their marriage lasted 14 years, Elizabeth died at the age of 47 from AIDS , who became infected 13 years before as a result of blood transfusions during the birth of their first common child. From this marriage left two children: Ariel (1981-1988) and Jake (born 1984) - both have HIV. Elizabeth Glazer is the founder of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (she has been working since 1988) [5] .
The second time, 53-year-old Glazer, married on November 24, 1996 on film producer Tracy Baron (born 1962) [6] , but in 2007, followed by a divorce. From this marriage remained daughter Zou (born 1997).
