NSDAP Higher Education Commission

The NSDAP Higher Education Commission ( German: Hochschulkommission der NSDAP ) is a commission composed of the headquarters of the Deputy Führer Rudolf Hess . It was established in 1934 to centralize decision-making processes in the NSDAP in the field of higher education and became a counterweight to the Imperial Ministry of Education, which was created a few months before. For a period of time, the Commission had a significant influence at the medical departments of German universities. Since 1935, it gradually lost its significance as a result of the internal struggle for power. It ceased its activities in 1938-1939. The managing director and the actual head of the commission was Munich dermatologist Franz Wirtz . The members of the commission were Alfred Boimler , Albert Deriksweiler , Hans Frank , Walter Frank , Heinrich Gall , Hans Reinert , Alfred Rosenberg , Hans Shemm , Karl Schmitt , Gerhard Wagner .
