History
In the fall of 1991, in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina , a Serbian autonomous region was formed. One of which was the Serbian Autonomous Region of Bosnian Krajina , formed in the summer of 1991 . Its goal (as well as the goal of most Serbian regions in the BiH SR ) was to unite all regions where the population was mainly Serbs , to prevent the possible departure of BiH from Yugoslavia .
In May 1992, the “first light infantry brigade” was formed in the Drvar community, which was part of the 2nd Krai Corps , whose area of responsibility was the entire area of the community, whose fighters were sent to different combat points of the RS .
As a result of the Dayton agreement, part of the community territory went to BiH , and the second half was transformed into Istochny-Drvar .
