Veteran organizations of Russia

A veteran organization is a voluntary association of citizens based on the commonality of their professional interests to meet spiritual or other non-material needs, to represent and protect common interests and to achieve other goals not contradicting the law.

Acts on the basis of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. It should be noted that in the Civil Code and other regulatory documents there is no separate category of public organization called “veteran”. Veteran organizations have practically no difference from any other public organization and, if they have a legal entity, they are fully responsible to the tax service and other federal structures.
