Biography
Nicole Boeckers was born on October 9, 1990 in the Dutch city of Leiderdorp , province of South Holland . She began her career as a professional in 2004. She trained at Die Leythe LR & amp but is currently a member of KSRVNjord [1] .
At the 2014 European Championships in rowing , which took place in the Serbian city of Belgrade, Bökers took third place in the men's doubles, losing to rivals from Lithuania and Poland [2] .
During the fours at the 2015 European Rowing Championships in Poznan , Boeckers won a silver medal. As part of the Dutch rowing team with a score of 6: 19.54, they lost gold to rivals from Germany (6: 18.93) [3] .
A bronze medal was obtained at the 2015 World Rowing Championships in Eglebett-le-Lac. In the double fours category, the Boeckers team lost to rivals from Germany and the USA [4] .
At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the Dutch team of Chantal Achterberg , Nicole Böckers, Inge Janssen and Karlin Bau won the silver medal in the four-pair category. Athletes lost the lead to the rowing team from Germany [5] .
