About the tournament
Beginning in 1991, Belarusian championships began to be held once every two years, while dividing competitions in Russian and international drafts into annual championship stages. The summation of the points of the stages was not performed. Thus, in the X championship of Belarus on drafts composition at the 1st stage in 1999 they competed in Russian drafts, and at the 2nd stage - into international.
Competitions were held in 4 disciplines: miniatures, problems, tasks, studies. In the tournament on compiling miniatures-100, Yuli German took part outside the standings, taking 2nd place in the absolute standings.
Championship victor Leonid Sergeyevich Vitoshkin (Gomel) again, as in 1998, won two golds: in miniatures-100 and etudes-100, becoming a 20-time national champion.
