Biography
Fyodor Nakhimson was born in Libau, Courland Province .
He graduated from the University of Zurich ( Switzerland ) with a doctorate in law .
Member of the RSDLP , then - a member of the RCP (b) .
He came home to Anatoly Koni and agreed that he would advise on particularly difficult matters, give lectures to lawyers [3] .
In 1918-1919 he worked as a people's judge.
From 1919 to 1921 - serving in the Red Army through the Revolutionary Military Tribunals of the Republic . He worked in the tribunals of the armies of the Southern Front and the Front, in positions ranging from military commissar to deputy chairman of the tribunal.
At the end of the Civil War, he works as a member of the Board of factories of the Military Directorate .
From February 1, 1923 to October 1927, he was the chairman of the Petrograd-Leningrad provincial court . Then, from October 1927 to December 1928 he was chairman of the Leningrad Regional Court.
From 1928 to 1932 he was a member of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR , successively served as chairman of the Civil, then Judicial-Cassation Collegium, then - deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR .
From 1933, he was Deputy Head of the GUITU of the People's Commissariat of the RSFSR (at the same time, Head of the Convoy Troops) and a member of the NKYu College.
In 1934 he was confirmed in the position of the head of the GUITU , he remained in this position until 1935.
From 1935 to 1936 - member of the Supreme Court of the USSR .
From 1936 to August 1938 - Deputy Chairman of the Criminal and Judicial Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR (part-time - Head of the Prison Administration).
Arrested on August 11, 1938. Sentenced to be executed on January 20, 1939 , died awaiting execution of the sentence.

- Veniamin Mikhailovich Nakhimson (1891-1942) - electrical engineer. In 1917 he served as chief engineer at the 3rd State Power Station in Petrograd. Perhaps played a decisive role in the success of the October Revolution in Petrograd. In October 1917, on the night of the October Revolution, at the personal request of V.I. Lenin blocked electricity, leaving the main bridges in a diluted state and thus preventing attempts to attract loyal forces to the Provisional Government to suppress the uprising.
