Karl Radnitzky ( German: Karl Radnitzky , November 16, 1818 , Vienna - January 10, 1901 , Vienna ) is an Austrian medalist and coin stamp cutter [1] .

The son of the court engraver Joseph Radnitsky. From 1837 - trainee, and from 1849 - engraver of the Main Coin Office in Vienna. Since 1853 - professor at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna.
He made a series of stamps of Austrian coins, including, for example, a commemorative coin of 2 thalers in 1857 on the occasion of the completion of the construction of the Austrian Southern Railway (signed - “CR”).
He created a significant number of medals: portrait medals, on the occasion of various events, award medals, including medals with portraits: the Swedish singer Jenny Lind (1847, 1850), the German Catholic thinker Josef Görres (1848), the Austrian numismatist and archaeologist Joseph von Arnet (1851) , German naturalist Karl Friedrich von Martius , composers Ferenc Liszt (1873), Richard Wagner (1876) and Franz Schubert (1878).
