KrAZ-6437 is a timber carrier of the Kremenchug automobile plant , developed with the participation of NAMI specialists on the basis of the KrAZ-260 design [1] .

The modern KrAZ-64372 model has been produced since 1994. Until the end of the 2010s. engines YaMZ-238D (Euro-0) or YaMZ-238DE2 (Euro-2) were installed on it. As of 2019, Chinese Weichai engines are installed on all KrAZ bonnet trucks, including the “64372” model.

History
The all-wheel drive timber truck KrAZ-6437 with a carrying capacity of 30.5 tons with a two-axle trailer GKB-9871 for the transportation of trees and whips 24-30 meters long was presented at the Avtoprom-84 automotive exhibition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Soviet automobile industry [2] [ 3] . Serial production of the KrAZ-6437 began in 1987 [4] .
In 1993, 238 KrAZ-6437 timber trucks were produced [5] .
Options and Modifications
- KrAZ-6437 - the basic model, which had a KrAZ-260 cabin (with improved interior trim of the cabin with insulating materials) and a YaMZ-238 F engine with a power of 320 hp The maximum speed is 60 km / h [2] . It was produced in two versions: with a gable tire of the rear wheels (in this case standard tires 12.00R20 were used) or with single-wheel tires 1300x530-533 [6]
- KrAZ-643701 - model with the YaMZ-238FMS engine with a capacity of 320 hp and a new cabin, developed in the early 1990s. The maximum speed is 72 km / h [7]
- KrAZ-64371 - timber truck with a YaMZ-238D turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 330 hp and a cabin from KrAZ-6322
- KrAZ-64372 type 1 Lisnik is a timber truck with a carrying capacity of 26.2 tons, partially unified in parts with a KrAZ-6446 truck tractor (with a cab from KrAZ-6322, a YaMZ-238DE2 turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 330 hp and a single-wheel rear tire ) [8]
- KrAZ-64372 type 2 Lisnik is a timber carrier with a carrying capacity of 30.9 tons, partially unified by parts with a KrAZ-6446 tractor (with a cabin from KrAZ-6322, a turbodiesel engine with a power of 330 - 370 hp and a gable rear tire) [ 8] [9]
- KrAZ-64372IK - a timber truck with a carrying capacity of 31 tons, with a new cabin and a turbodiesel engine with a power of 362 - 380 hp [ten]
