Neotropics (Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru) [1] .
Description
Body length 13 - 17 mm, narrow (ratio of body length to width = 2.3), legs are thin and long. The main color is brown-black to completely black. The head is a cylindrical shape of the head. The specific name comes from the Greek word aithales (soot). The species was first described in 2016 by American entomologists Guanyang Zhang (Department of Entomology, University of California, Riverside , Riverside , California , USA ) and Elwood R. Hart , Department of Entomology, Iowa State University , Ames) [1] [ 2] .
