Markalne ( Latvian: Mārkalne ) is a settlement in the Aluksne region of Latvia . The administrative center of Markaln parish . Located at the intersection of roads V390 and V391. Aluksne is about 15 km away. According to data for 2013, 105 people lived in the village [1] .

History
In the 1970s, the village was the center of the Markalns village council of the Aluksne district . The village was the farm "Markalne" [2] .
