Boris Tsolakovich Bakhshiyan (August 23, 1944 - August 2, 2011) - Soviet Russian scientist, teacher of higher education, Soviet athlete (checkers). Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (2001), USSR master of sports in drafts. Leading Researcher, Space Research Institute, RAS . He made "a significant contribution to solving the problems of estimating the parameters of the trajectory of spacecraft, evaluating the reliability of the results of the functioning of information-measuring systems and the tasks of planning experiments" [1]

Content
Biography
In 1965 he won the championship of the All-Union DSO "Trud". After the transition to scientific activity, he almost stopped sports.
A student of P.E. Elyasberg , wrote a number of scientific works together with a teacher (see bibliography).
He graduated with honors from the Mechanics and Mathematics Department of Moscow State University, defended his candidate and doctoral dissertations
Since 1970 - at the Space Research Institute. He taught at the Moscow Aviation Institute , professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Physics [2]
He died on August 2, 2011 after a serious illness.
