Biography
Born July 7, 1888 in with. Kremenki (Stavropol district of the Samara province) is now the Staromainsky district of the Ulyanovsk region, in the family of a peasant. The service began in 1910, and from 1914, Lieutenant V. Dolmatov took part in the First World War.
St George Knight
For the battles in October-November 1914, he received all four degrees of the St. George Cross. He distinguished himself in the battle on October 14, 1914. In the battle at the village of Strzhelbitsy, during a fierce attack by the enemy, he showed courage and heroism, for which he was awarded the 4th degree Cross of St. George. During the battle on October 21 near the same village, under the strongest fire of the enemy, being sent for reconnaissance, he obtained important information about the enemy, thereby contributing to the overall success of the attack. For which he was awarded the St. George Cross 3rd degree. Being sent to reconnaissance on the night of October 23, 1914, showing an example of courage and courage, he destroyed the enemy post and delivered very important information about the enemy’s location. He was awarded the St. George Cross 2nd degree. During the battle on November 9-12, 1914 near the village of Dara, being the senior intelligence team, skillfully controlling his subordinates, he penetrated the enemy’s position, destroying two enemy guards, for which he was awarded the George Cross of the 1st degree. During the Civil War he participated in the White movement . For differences in affairs with the enemy, the 9th Stavropol Rifle Regiment of the People's Army was promoted to lieutenant colonel with seniority (order for the Siberian Army of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Admiral Alexander Kolchak of March 31, 1919).

August 1, 2016 in the village of Kremenki , Ulyanovsk region , in the hero’s homeland, a bust of a participant in the Great War (1914-1918) was opened [3]
