Pavel Petrovich Chaika ( Belorussian. Pavel Pyatrovich Chaika ; June 21, 1889 , the village of Lyutovichi , Borisov Uyezd , Minsk Province , Russian Empire - January 9, 1921 ) is a Belarusian military leader, one of the leaders of the Slutsk Uprising .

Biography
Born in the village of Lyutovichi (now Kopyl district , Minsk region , Republic of Belarus ).
In 1909 he graduated from the men's gymnasium, in 1912 he graduated from the Irkutsk military school . He took part in the First World War and rose to the rank of chief officer captain . For courage during the hostilities he was awarded the orders of St. Vladimir 4 degrees , St. Anna 3 and 4 degrees and St. Stanislav 3 degrees . After the February Revolution of 1917, he joined the Socialist Revolutionary Party and later became their protege.
At the beginning of 1919 he was mobilized into the Red Army ; he served in the military commissariat of the Slutsk district. After the appearance of Polish troops, he went to his native village of Lutovici. There, for some time he maintained relations with the anti-Polish underground. In the summer of 1920 he was again mobilized into the Red Army, but he quickly defected from there. In November of that year, he joined the Slutsk rebellion . Soon he led the First Slutsk Regiment, and at the same time stood at the head of the Slutsk rebel brigade.
He carried out the release from captivity of Commissioner Lebedev, as a result of which he was arrested by order of the Belarusian Council of Sluchina. However, he managed to escape from the guard. December 3, 1920 surrendered to the Red Army. On January 7, 1921, he was sentenced to death “for anti-Soviet activity” by a resolution of the “troika” of the special department of the 16th army, headed by Y. K. Olsky . In 1992 he was rehabilitated.
