Name Origin
The name of the nameless square was given in May 2016 in honor of the architect, restorer and teacher Roman Klein (1858-1924), one of the most famous Moscow architects of the late XIX - early XX centuries, due to the fact that there are about 15 buildings near the square built according to his designs [1] .
On the left side of the alley is the Dormitory for students of the medical faculty of the Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich Moscow University, built by Klein in 1900-1903 (16 Malaya Pirogovskaya Street). Also nearby is the Morozov Institute for the Treatment of Malignant Tumors, built at the same time, at Moscow University (20 Malaya Pirogovskaya Street).
Description
Architect Klein Alley starts from Bolshaya Pirogovskaya opposite Abrikosovsky Lane and runs south to Malaya Pirogovskaya Street, where it ends opposite Usachevsky Lane .
