Martin Bernardo Lasarte Arrospide ( Spanish Martín Bernardo Lasarte Arróspide ; born March 20, 1961 , Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a former Uruguayan footballer who played as a defender in a number of Uruguayan clubs and the Spanish “ Deportivo ” from La Coruña. Now a football coach.

Biography

Martin Lasarte was born in Montevideo , in the family of a Spanish father who emigrated from the Basque country , and his Uruguayan mother.

In Uruguay, he played for Rentistas , Central Espanyol , Ramplu Juniors , Nacional and Defensor Sporting , winning the 1988 Libertadores Cup , as well as the subsequent Intercontinental Cup [1] .

In 2016, he won the third Uruguayan champion title with Nacional as head coach. In 2017, he led his team to victory in the Intermedia Tournament.
