Cherhalmi, György

In 1971 he graduated from the Higher School of Theater, Film and Television in Budapest. He worked in theaters of Debrecen , Veszprem , and in 1977-1979 - at the National Theater of Budapest. He made his film debut in 1966 (" King Matthias was here "), since 1968 - on television. He played in the films Miklos Yancho , Pal Sandor , Pal Zolnai , Zoltan Fabri , Karoy Mack , Sandor Shara , Istvan Szabo , Bela Tarr , Andras Kovac , György Reves , Peter Bacho , Marta Mesaros and other leading Hungarian directors.

He was married to the artist Magde Vargue , their daughter Shara Cherhalmi - actress, director and screenwriter.
