Zakubezhie is a village in the Sergiev Posad district of the Moscow region , as part of the municipal formation of the rural settlement Shemetovskoye (until November 29, 2006 it was the center of the Zakubezh rural district ) [2] [3] .

Geography
Zakubezhye is located approximately 42 km (on the highway) [8] north of Sergiev Posad , on the nameless stream of the Dubna River Basin [9] , the height of the village center above sea level is 148 m [10] .
In 2016, 1 garden partnership was registered in Zakubezhie [11] , the village is connected by bus with the district center and neighboring settlements [12] . The Assumption Church in the village has been known since the 16th century. The modern building is a single-domed brick church in the style of late classicism, with the Preobrazhensky and Iversky chapels, the refectory and the bell tower, built in 1833. In 1931 it was closed, returned to believers in 1995, acting [13] .
