Biography
Ignacio Campserver was born in the city of Manresa in 1722. [1] Joined the Jesuit community on October 16 in 1738. [1] He was a teacher of rhetoric and philosophy in Server ( 1743 ) [4] and Girona [4] , between 1748 and 1757 [1] . He later became a missionary . After returning, he was a mathematics teacher in Barcelona ( 1761 - 1763 [2] ) and Calatayud [1] [5] . In Barcelona, the leader of Kampserver was the famous philosopher and mathematician Thomas Cerda [6] .
In 1767, Kampserver was sent to Italy [1] . During the exile he continued his research, died in Ferrera (present-day Switzerland ) in 1799 . Other sources indicate death in Ferrara in 1798 [7] .

Opus utile, atque necessarium grammaticis, oratoribus, poetis, medicis, legislperitis, uno verbo, omnibus qui latinus amant correcte loqui. Gerona: Typis Antanii Oliva, 1758. 364 pp. The work was published under the name of one of Kampserver’s students [8] .
- Bibliotheca Mathematica cum Dictionario Theoricis, ac Practicis tam Antiquorum, quam recentiorum nobilioribus inventis ac figuris convenientibus ornata et in sex tomos distributa. Tomus l. Ferrariae: Typ. Heredum Josephi Rinaldi, 1789. 552 pp. In the introduction to this work, Kampserver indicates that he began work on it in Spanish, but then switched to Latin. He also points out that the entire Bibliotheca consisted of six volumes: however, doubts were expressed that any other volumes had been published [7] . The published first volume consists of three parts devoted to discrete quantities, continuous quantities and the table of logarithms [9] . The second volume should have been almost ready for publication; its table of contents was included in the first volume [10] .
