Mayada al-Sayad ( German: Mayada Al-Sayad , born October 26, 1992 , Berlin , Germany ) is a Palestinian athlete of German origin specializing in long-distance running.

Born in a family of a dental technician of Palestinian origin and a German from Thuringia . Has a twin sister Miriam [1] . I started to train in the club “1. Fortune ”( Marzan ) under the guidance of coach Tobias Singer. In 2014, she decided to represent the State of Palestine at the competitions [2] .
In 2015, she took 10th place in the Berlin half marathon . At the Hamburg Marathon, she came to finish 13, improving her personal record by almost 12 minutes (2:41:44 hours). This allowed her to qualify for the 2015 World Athletics Championships in Beijing , where she took the 50th place in the marathon with a score of 2:53:39 hours.
At the Dubai Marathon on January 22, 2016 she took 17th place, again improving her personal record to 2:40:00 hours, which allowed her to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games to participate in the marathon .
Was the standard-bearer of the Palestinian delegation at the opening ceremony of the games [1] .
