Geography
It was located in the central part of the region on the left bank of the Rechitsa river between the villages of Holsinka and Bugry . The nearest existing settlements are the villages of Rynok and Storzh , the village of Ostapovo .
History
Founded at the beginning of the 20th century by immigrants from the neighboring village of Ostapovo . In 1926, there were 25 peasant farms in the village, 161 people lived (73 males and 88 females). At that time, Komara was part of the Vereteninsky Village Council of the Dolbenkino Volost, Dmitrovsky District, Oryol Province [1] . Since 1928 as part of the Mikhailovsky (now Zheleznogorsky ) district. On February 12, 1929, Komaroi was transferred from Vereteninsky Village Council to the newly formed Ostapovsky Village Council [2] , but was soon returned to Vereteninsky Village Council. In 1937 there were 40 courtyards in the village [3] . During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to February 1943, he was in the zone of the Nazi occupation, during which he was burned by invaders [4] . In 1950-1956, a Lgov geological exploration expedition was located in the settlement, which discovered a powerful iron ore formation. Subsequently, near the village began the practical development of the Mikhailovsky iron ore deposit [5] . After the abolition of the Vereteninsky Village Council in 1959, Komaroi was transferred to the Ostapovsky Village Council . After the abolition of the Ostapovsky village council in 1985, it was included in the Androsovsky village council .
It was abolished on January 9, 1992 [6] in connection with the allotment of land for the dumps of the career of the Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Plant .
