Biography
In 2011, he took third place in the Masters Bremen tournament among participants no older than 20 years old (U20) and the European Cup (U20), and won the Asian Championship in Beirut in the same age category. In 2012, he was second at the International Judo Federation Cup in Tashkent , third at the U20 Asian Championships, fifth at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Grand Slam tournaments in Tokyo . In 2013, he was third in the U21 European Cup and silver medalist of the World Cup in the same age category. In 2014, he was second at the Tashkent Grand Prix, and only seventh at the Grand Slam tournament in Baku .
In 2015, he put in an asset second place at the open European Cup in Warsaw, third place at the Tbilisi Grand Prix, Tashkent Grand Prix, the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi, fifth places at the Samsun Grand Prix, and the World Masters tournament in Rabat . At the world championship was seventh.
In 2016, he won the Tbilisi Grand Prix, was third at the Samsun Grand Prix, Alma-Ata Grand Prix, the Grand Slam tournament in Baku and seventh at the World Masters tournament in Guadalajara . In the same year he managed to win the title of vice-champion of Asia.
He performed at the 2016 Olympic Games , in the category of up to 60 kilograms, where 35 judokas fought. Athletes were divided into 4 groups, of which four judokas reached the semi-finals based on the results of quarter-finals. The losers in the quarter-finals met in the “comforting” fights and then with the defeated in the semi-finals, and bronze medalists were determined by these results.
Urozboev in the quarterfinal lost to Eldos Smetov, then won in a comforting meeting and in a meeting for third place with Amiran Papinashvili, winning the bronze medal of the Olympic Games.
