Biography

Art education in the Munich Academy under the leadership of Julius Shnorr von Karolsfeld .

Won himself fame drawings for national publications. He performed a series of drawings depicting scenes from the times of the Reformation , initials for the Luther hobby collection (hence the nickname given to him: “Luther Konig”), a large drawing “St. Boniface preaching Christianity in Germany”, pictures for the popular alphabet “Goldene ABC” ( engraved Teter), 48 compositions on the themes of the Psalms of David (engravings performed by Teter and Merz) and 12 scenes from his history.

Several oil paintings of Konig, depicting episodes from the life of David and Luther , are not as successful as his drawings.
