Biography
Thomas Costa, a graduate of the Rosario Central football club academy, made his professional debut as part of an adult team on September 17, 2006 against Estudiantes , replacing the 85th minute of the meeting of the Argentine championship. Costa's team won 1-0. Costa gradually became a base player and attracted the attention of European clubs. In 2008, the Argentine moved to Porto for 3.2 million euros [2] .
In the first season, Costa spent 41 matches in all tournaments for the Portuguese Grand and scored one goal. He helped his team get a “golden double” - to win the championship and the Portuguese Cup. Also in 2009, Costa became the owner of the Super Bowl of the country, and the next season again won the Portuguese Cup.
In 2011, Costa on loan advocated the Romanian CFR. For six months, he played in 11 matches for the “railroad”, after which Porto again leased the Argentine midfielder, this time to Universidad Catholic. After the contract with Porto ended, Costa, as a free agent, transferred to Colon, signing a three-year contract with the club from his native province.
Having played for Kolon for one season, Thomas began to play for Universidad Catholic again, and again on loan. After the expiration of the contract with Colon, the Argentine remained in the Chilean team as a player with a full contract. According to the results of 2013, Thomas Costa was recognized as the best player in the championship of Chile according to the local edition of El Gráfico [3] .
In 2016, Thomas Costa moved to Peñarol. He helped his new team win the 2015/16 season country championship. Since 2017, she has been performing at Olimpo.
