Format Changes
In January 2013, the International Shooting Sport Federation adopted new rules for holding competitions for 2013-2016, which, in particular, changed the order of the finals. Athletes who qualify for the finals will now begin the decisive round without points scored in the qualification, and the finals will be eliminated. All shooters perform two series of three shots, after which single series begin. After every second shot, one of the finalists drops out of the further fight. After 18 shots, two shooters remain, who perform two more shots. The athlete who scored the most points becomes the owner of a gold medal [1] .
