Description
It is a building in the shape of a Catholic cross. It consists of three spans (nave), the highest - central. The facade is formed by three semicircular apses and a noticeable transverse nave. Spans are covered by semicircular arches reinforced by supporting arches. Above the vault of the cross tower rises, sheltered by a spherical dome. The cladding consists of untreated cement bonded stones. [one]
History
The construction of the church began in 1903 according to the design of and was finally completed in 1958. The most recent bell tower was completed. Inside it was preserved the figure of Christ from the ancient parish church. [one]
This parish church appeared due to population growth at the end of the 19th century, mainly due to factory towns, “industrial colonies”. The ancient church of Santa Eulalia of the XIV century had only one nave and did not accommodate all believers. In 1907, it was sold and served to store household products and cultural objects.
