Content
Story
The film takes place in Portland , Oregon . The main character, Doug (Chris Lankeno), moved here with his sister Gail ( Trieste Kelly Dunn ). Prior to this, Doug lived in Chicago, where he studied as a medical examiner and met with Rachel's now ex-girlfriend (Robin Rickun). Doug takes a job at an ice factory and meets Carlos (Raul Castillo), who works as a DJ in his spare time. Rachel arrives in Portland to practice at a Chicago law firm, but suddenly disappears, leaving a trail of intriguing evidence. Doug, Gale and Carlos begin her search.

Filming
Most of the film was shot in Portland , using a Red One camera. Some scenes were shot at Cannon Beach and in Dulles, Oregon. [1]
Criticism
“Cold weather” received mostly positive reviews. On the Rotten Tomatoes website , the film received 78% of "freshness" [2] . Manola Dargis , a leading film critic from The New York Times , also endorsed the directorial work of Aaron Katz [3] . Roger Ebert of The Chicago Sun Times wrote that “the film is so good that you can’t even notice minor plot flaws” [4] .
