Geography
The settlement is located 18 km south-east of the district center of Alatyr and 5 km north-east of the center of the settlement . The nearest railway station is Alatyr . The settlement is located on the right bank of the Sledgehammer [2] .
History
The settlement was organized on April 7, 1925 during the creation of the agricultural god “The Atheist”. The initial population - immigrants from the village Ivankovo-Durasovo (now Ivankovo-Lenino ), Russian. The main occupation is agriculture. Since 1930, part of the collective farm "Red Ray" village Ivankovo-Durasovo [2] . Since the beginning of the 2000s, the village has become empty.
Administrative Affiliation
Until 1927, the village belonged to the Alatyr volost of the Alatyr district, later - to different village councils of the Alatyr district, from 1935 - to the Ivan'kovo-Leninsky village council [2] [3] .

Current State
In fact, at present the village has completely ceased to exist, not a single house has survived. Since the 2011 edition, the Atheist settlement is not listed in the charter of a rural settlement.
