Biography
In 1933 he entered Warsaw State University , which he graduated in 1938. In the same year, the leadership of Warsaw State University sent a certified specialist for an internship at Cornell University in the USA , where he studied until 1946. After completing the internship, he worked for some time at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston . In the same year he returned to Warsaw and headed the department at the Warsaw Agricultural Academy until 1951. In 1951 he founded, opened and headed the Institute for Fruit Growing in Skierniewice and worked until 1966.
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to various issues of fruit growing.
- He studied various tillage systems in gardens.
- Developed methods to combat the frequency of fruiting of an apple tree.
- He paid considerable attention to the study of frost resistance of fruit crops.
