Zach, Avrom

Born in a family of melamad Studied in a header and yeshiva in Ruzhany . In 1909 he came to Warsaw , became close to representatives of socialist Zionism . He participated in the First World War , was wounded. Since 1916 he lived in Grodno , where he became friends with Leib Naidus . In 1919 he returned to Warsaw . For many years he was a member of the management committee of the Jewish Literary Society and the Jewish section of Polish journalists.

With the advent of the Nazis in 1939, he fled from Warsaw , settled in Grodno , where he worked as the head of the literary part of the Jewish theater troupe. In July 1940, he was repressed along with other refugees from Poland . In 1941, released. He lived in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, was a laborer, a night watchman, a water carrier. In 1946 he returned to Poland and settled in Lodz , for some time he worked as secretary of the local association of writers in Yiddish . In 1948 he left for Paris , then in 1952 - to Argentina .
