“Waves” is the eighth studio album of the Russian band A'Studio , released in 2010 via CD Land Records . The disc contains 10 tracks and a video clip for the song "Just Like Everyone". Four radio singles were released in support of the album: Heart to Heart, Just Like Everyone, This is War, and Fashion Girl. The album was presented on April 24, 2010 at the Crocus City Hall [2] [3] .

Criticism
Alexey Mazhaev from InterMedia agency gave the album a mixed rating, calling it the group’s most diverse album. The reviewer called the song “Just Like Everyone”, which is a cover version of Alla Pugacheva ’s song “A Song About Me”, one of the “most sincere and touching in her vast repertoire”: “Kati Topuria approached carefully a masterpiece by Alexander Zatsepin and Leonid Derbenev , but without imitation - it turned out a respectful and self-sufficient cover version, which, it is possible, many will consider it to be originally an “Astudian” song. ” In his opinion, the tracks “Fashion Girl” and “Leaving you” “represent the group’s experiments in the field of“ fashionable ”sound: the vocalist sings as if through“ autotune ”, and the rhythm is maintained underlined chopped and dance”. The reviewer also praised the song “Free fall”, noting its “catchy refrain, distinct melody, vocal diligence and electronic sounds in the background”, and a duet with the group “ Otpetye scammers ”, believing that “if you subtract“ Scammers ”from the song would be a good number. " However, according to Mazhaev, the album lacks “first and foremost killer hits:“ You can spin almost any song from the record, but this requires the efforts of radio and television. ”He also considered that besides the song“ Just Like Everything ”, there are no songs on the CD “that they themselves would take from a quarry” [1] .
