Career
Junior
In the 2011 draft, he was chosen by the OHL club Kingston Frontenax as the 8th overall number, and was subsequently exchanged for the London Knights . In his debut match in the OHL on September 23, 2011, he scored three goals in the Saginaw Spirit gates and gave one more pass. At the end of the season, he became an OHL champion and a finalist in the Memorial Cup . In total, OHL spent four seasons in which he played 244 matches, gaining 331 (126 + 205) points.
Professional
In the 2013 NHL draft, the Phoenix Coyotes club was selected in the 1st round under the general number 12. On July 14, 2013, he signed a novice contract with Phoenix.
