Crater Von Bayer ( lat. Von Baeyer ) is a small impact crater in the South Pole region on the visible side of the moon . The name was given in honor of the German organic chemist Adolf von Bayer (1835-1917) and approved by the International Astronomical Union on January 22, 2009.

Crater Description
The nearest neighbors of the Von Beyer crater are Svedberg crater adjacent to it in the east; Demonax crater in the north; Hederwari Crater in the east; the Amundsen crater in the southeast and the Nobile crater in the south-southwest [1] . The selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater are , diameter 13.5 km [2] , depth 2.2 km [3] .
Crater Von Beyer is circular. Shaft with a clearly defined edge. The bottom of the crater bowl due to its proximity to the south pole is always in the shade.
