Ruslan Vladimirovich Lunev ( azerb. Ruslan Vladimiroviç Lunev ; born 1989 , Baku ) - an Azerbaijani shooter, a member of the Azerbaijan national shooting team, represented his country at the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics .

Biography
Ruslan Lunev was born in 1989 in Baku [1] . His mother, Irada Ashumova , is the bronze medalist of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens in bullet shooting, and his father Vladimir Lunev is the personal trainer of Ashumova [2] and the national team coach. Also Vladimir Lunev is a personal trainer of Ruslan [1] . Ruslan Lunev has been engaged in shooting since 2002 [1] .
Lunev began to participate in competitions in 2006 [1] . In 2007, Ruslan Lunev won first place in the Azerbaijan Championship among young men in 10-meter shooting from an air pistol, gaining 383 points and setting a new national record [3] . In January 2010, Ruslan Lunev became the winner of the super final of the international bullet shooting tournament Olden Cup, held in Norway [4] .
In 2013, he became the winner of the Shota Kveliashvili Cup in Georgia [5] . In May 2015, Ruslan Lunev took part in the World Cup in bullet shooting in the American city of Fort Benning , where he shot 577 points in qualifying in a speedy pistol shooting and took 22nd place among 55 participants, without breaking through to the final [6] . In June of the same year, at the World Cup in bullet shooting in Munich, Ruslan Lunev knocked out 579 points in the preliminary round from a pistol in the preliminary round and took 10th place among 76 participants [7] .
In 2016, the International Sport Shooting Federation issued a wild card to Ruslan Lunev, thanks to which he will compete at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro [8] .
