Physical location

It is located on the Smolensk-Moscow Upland , on the left bank of the Lubyanka River, ~ 77 km from the regional center - the city of Kaluga , and ~ 22 km from the regional center - the village of Iznoski . Nearest settlements: Shansky Zavod village (~ 1.1 km), Rostovo village (~ 1.0 km), Ivlevo village (~ 3.1 km)

Etymology

The name of the village is probably associated with one of the descendants of the old noble family of Bizyaevs, which originates from the Tatar Kirey Bizyaev, Kazan Pushkar. In addition, the root “Bizy” in the Yaroslavl and Kostroma dialect means shortsighted [2] .

History

  • 1724 year. On the map of the Mozhaisk suburbs, Delil Bizyaevo is named under his modern name, but is mistakenly marked on the Shan River [3] .
  • 1771 year. On the map of the Moscow province Gorikhvostova is named as Bizyaevo [4] .
  • 1782: The villages of Bizyaevo and Rostovo on both sides of the East Lyubenka river are part of the Gireyevsky volost , owned by Countess Ekaterina Ivanovna Shuvalova.
Patriotic War of 1812
  • On October 19 ( 31 ), 1812 , two columns of the Russian army left the village of Kremensky . The right column was led by General Dmitry Sergeyevich Dokhturov , it included the 1st cuirassier division , the 6th and 8th infantry corps. The right column went from the village of Toporino to Spas-Kuzov .

The left column under the command of Lieutenant General Prince Boris Vladimirovich Golitsyn and consisting of the 2nd cuirassier division, the 3rd and 5th infantry corps followed through Isakovo, Mikulino and Bizyaevo , where the headquarters of the army of Mikhail Kutuzov moved [5] . The Life Guards Pavlovsky Regiment also entered the column of Prince Golitsyn [6] .

  • 1859 year. In the "List of Populated Places of the Kaluga Province" Bizyaevo is the owner village of the 2nd camp of the Medynsky district , standing on the Medyn - Gzhatsk highway . The village has 26 yards and 171 inhabitants.
  • 1871 year. Bizyaevo plotted on the map Strelbitsky [3] .
  • 1891 year. Bizyaevo enters the Gireyevsky volost of the 2nd camp of the Medynsky district. 178 people live in the village
Soviet time
  • 1918 year. For participation in the Medyna peasant uprising, a native of Bizyaevo, Dmitry Ivanovich Sotskov, was shot "as a White Guard" [7] .
  • On December 8, 1937, his son, non-partisan collective farmer Ivan Dmitrievich Sotskov (b. 1880), a resident of Bizyaevo, was convicted under Art. 58 p.10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR " troika " of the UNKVD of the Smolensk region [8] .
The Great Patriotic War
  • Mid January 1942 During the counterattack near Moscow , Bizyaevo becomes a stronghold and base for the offensive of the 194th Infantry Division of the 43rd Army with the task of freeing up the important transport junction Iznoski station .
  • On January 26, 1942, the main forces and the headquarters of the 160th Infantry Division were concentrated in Bizyaevo, which was subsequently introduced into the breakthrough as part of the strike (western) group of the 33rd Army of General Efremov, the advanced units of which reached the southwestern outskirts of Vyazma by 03.02.1942, but by April 1942 they were surrounded and almost completely destroyed [9] [10] .
  • June 3-24, 1942 in the forest 1.5 km south-east of Bizyaevo was the headquarters of the 160th Infantry Division, understaffed after leaving the encirclement [11] .
