Thanh Xuân is one of the twelve metropolitan areas (quận) that make up Hanoi . Area - 9 square meters. km, population - 190 thousand people [1] . On Nguyenchai Street (named after Nguyen Tea ) there is a large educational cluster with many universities. The headquarters of the Air Force and Air Defense of Vietnam is based in the area.

Geography
Thansuang District is located south of the center of Hanoi. In the west, it borders with the Namtil region, in the north-west with the Kauziai region, in the north with the Dongda region, in the northeast with the Khaibaching district, in the southeast and south with the Hoangmai region, in the southwest with Thanchi County and Hadong District.
In the northwestern part of the Thansuang region, on the border with the Kauziai region (and partially on its territory), there is the Chungkhoa - Nyantin zone ( Vietnamese. Trung Hoà - Nhân Chính ) , also known as Koreatown ("Korean city"). It is the new commercial and business center of western Hanoi, as well as one of the most prestigious residential areas of the capital with a large share of Korean expats.
Administrative Division
Currently, the Thansuang district includes 11 quarters (phường) - Hadin ( Vietnamese. Hạ Đình ) , Kheongdin ( Vietnamese. Khương Đình ) , Kheongmai ( Vietnamese. Khương Mai ) , Khyongchung ( Vietnamese. Khương Trung ) , Kim . Kim Giang ) , Nyantin ( Vietnamese. Nhân Chính ) , Phionglet ( Vietnamese. Phương Liệt ) , Thansuangbak ( Vietnamese. Thanh Xuân Bắc ) , Thanhsunnam ( Vietnamese. Thanh Xuân Nam ) , Thanhsun Thunhun Thong ( Vietnamese) . Thượng Đình ) .
Economics
High-rise residential complexes (including Royal City, Sapphire Palace, Hapulico Center), office centers (Hapulico Complex, Imperial Garden) [2] , hotels (Thể Thao), shopping centers (Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, VinMart Royal City), chain supermarkets (Fivimart) and car dealerships of world brands. Despite the new retail formats, Nyantin, Khyongdin, Gimziang, Tinkin ( Vietnamese. Chính Kinh ) and Hoangnghai ( Vietnamese. Hoàng Văn Thái ) continue to play an important role.
Also in the area are the Vinacomin chemical plant and several textile mills [3] .
Transport
The Third Ring Road and National Highway 6 intersect on the territory of Thansuang District. The other busy highways of the district are Nguyenchai Street ( Vietnamese. Nguyễn Trãi ) , Levanlyong Street ( Vietnamese. Lê Văn Lương ) , Hoangdaothui ( Vietnamese. Hoàng Đạo Thúfung, Vũ Trọng Phụng ) , Cyongtin ( Vietnamese. Trường Chinh ) , Lechongtan ( Vietnamese. Lê Trọng Tấn ) and Zaifong ( Vietnamese. Giải Phóng ) [4] . Also, a railroad passes through Thansuang, connecting the center of Hanoi with Central Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
Public transport is represented by an extensive network of bus routes [5] . The construction of the Hanoi subway (ground-based electric train system), which will pass through Thansuang, is underway.

In Thansuang there are the Museum of Aviation and Air Defense, several theaters and art galleries, Buddhist temples of Khyeongha ( Vietnamese. Khương Hạ ) , Wong ( Vietnamese. Vòng ) , Kuannyan ( Vietnamese. Quan Nhân ) , Hoiswan ( Vietnamese. Hội Xuân ) , Zyapnyat ( . Giáp Nhất ) , Bode ( Vietnamese. Bồ Đề ) , pagodas Khyongha ( Vietnamese. Khuong Ha ) and Shungfuk ( Vietnamese. Sung Phuc, she is Tamhyuen ) .
In the Khyongdin quarter, there is a celebration of the public house Gyng ( Vietnamese. Gừng ) , dedicated to the deity To Lit ( Vietnamese. Tô Lịch ) and Le Zyong Weh ( Vietnamese. Lê Dương Vệ ) ; accompanied by religious ceremonies, dragon and lion dances, wrestling, a game of chess and a theater performance by theo. In the Hadinh quarter, the Tamghuen Pagoda festival ( Vietnamese. Tam Huyền ) is held , dedicated to Thou Vinh ( Vietnamese. Từ Vinh ) - the father of the Zen Buddhist teacher Thou Tao Han ( Vietnamese. Từ Đạo Hạnh ) ; accompanied by stick fights, hand wrestling, glutinous rice cooking competitions, cockfights [6] .
Education
The University of Hanoi [7] , the University of Hanoi of Sciences (part of the Vietnam National University) [8] , the University of Social Sciences and Management (also part of the Vietnam National University), the University of Transport Technology [9] , and the National University of the Arts are based in the region [9] . 10] , Hanoi University of Architecture [11] , National Institute of Educational Management [12] , Thanglong University campus, high school for gifted students, and Daozuyta private school.
Health
In the area there are the Construction Hospital, the military hospital of the air force and air defense, private hospitals and medical centers (Hapu Medi Center).
