Mitchell Leisen ( born Mitchell Leisen , October 6, 1898 - October 28, 1972) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, art director and costume designer.

Biography
He entered the film industry in 1920, working as a production designer and costume designer. He made his first film “ Lullaby ” in 1933 and became famous for his aesthetic Hollywood melodramas and eccentric comedies.
When his movie career ended, Leisen directed several episodes of the Twilight Zone series. He also bought a night club.
Leisen died of heart disease on October 28, 1972, at the age of 74. His grave is in the Pines Crematory Chapel.
