Nicholas Bardach ( German: Nicholas Bardach ; born 1954 , Fredericton , Canada ) is a German drummer of Canadian origin.

He graduated from the Brussels Conservatory . In 1975-1978 improved his skills at the Cologne Higher School of Music under the direction of Christophe Kaskell .
Since 1978, the drummer and timpanist of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra . He performed as a soloist with his team in the performance of the compositions of Olivier Messiane , Pierre Boulez , Karlheinz Stockhausen , Bruno Maderna . He performed and recorded with such musicians as Steve Reich , Evelyn Glenny , Tabaa Zimmerman , Guy Tuvron .
Of particular interest to Bardakh is playing on a saw . The initial impulse to this hobby was given by the play of Bernd Alois Zimmermann “Silence and Return” ( German: Stille und Umkehr ), which he happened to perform in 1988. Bards performs solo concerts as a performer on a saw, participates in the world festival of performers on a saw in New York ( Eng. New York City Musical Saw Festival ) [1] .
Bardakh owns a number of arrangements and arrangements (in particular, the instrumentation of four pieces from the cycle of M. P. Mussorgsky's “ Pictures from the Exhibition ” for cello and harp). Since 1998, he has been teaching at the Aachen Higher School of Music .
