Separated from actually Gutuevsky island of Batareyny island. At the confluence with the Olkhovka River, it expanded to a size comparable to Ekaterinofka , on it there were a number of nameless islands.
According to the map of St. Petersburg from 1904, the length of the Batareynoy River was 2.1-2.2 km, and its source merged with the Megeve Canal near the tram ring on ul. Dvinskaya (buildings No. 21B and 23 on Dvinskaya St. are now located along the axis of the upper stream of Batareynaya). The upper course to location 25, building 4 and the lower course beyond the confluence of the Olkhovka river (except the mouth) were filled up no later than 1939, the waters of Batareynoy were diverted to Yekaterinofka through Olkhovka and the New Channel; Thus, the islands of Batareyny, Gladky, Dyke Grebenka and part of the Free Island were attached to Gutuevsky.
Finally, the Batareyka river bed was filled up between 1955 and 1959, the remaining part of the mouth belongs to the Baroque basin of the Sea Trade Port.
