Biography
Born in the commune of Civitanova-Marche [1] . His father, Marco Tamberi , was also a high jumper in the past, and took 15th place at the 1980 Olympics [2] . Before joining athletics in 2009, he was involved in basketball, where he played for the team Stamura Basket Ancona [3] . Gianmarco has an older brother, Gianluca Tamberi , who was engaged in javelin throwing [2] .
