With Love, J is the debut mini-album by American singer and actress Jessica . The Korean version includes six songs and was released on May 17, 2016 . An English version with five songs (without “Dear Diary”) was released on May 27, 2016 . The album became Jessica's first release after leaving Girls' Generation in September 2014. “Fly” and “Love Me the Same” became singles from the album and were released on May 17 and 18, respectively.

Background and Release
In 2000, Jessica signed a contract with SM Entertainment , and in August 2007 she made her debut as a member of Girls' Generation . On September 30, 2014, through her personal account at Weibo, she reported that she was ousted from the team; a few hours later this information was confirmed by the company itself. [3] [4] The last song in the SNSD was “Devine”, which was included in the re-release of the Japanese compilation of hits The Best . August 6, 2015 it became known that Jessica terminated the contract with the agency. [five]
In February 2016, Jessica announced the release of her first album on the new label - Coridel Entertainment. [6] [7] Later it became known that the release of the album is scheduled for May. [8] On April 30 the track list was published. [9] Chong took part in writing four of the six songs. The title of the album was With Love, j .
Promotion
The music video for the debut single “Fly” was released on May 17, 2016, and over the first day gained more than 2 million views. The video for the second single “Love Me the Same” was released the next day, May 18th.
